A little backstory …

Hey friend, and welcome!
Let me share my world with you
JillFit started out as a daily fitness and nutrition blog back in 2010, when I was a full-time personal trainer and group fitness instructor working 70+ hours a week.

Armed with an ACSM personal training certification and a Masters degree in Nutrition, I’d get home late from the gym and stay up all night blogging. I also slowly took on 1:1 fat loss coaching clients. Fast forward 18 months and JillFit had grown to a 6-figure online fitness brand with 5 fat loss coaches and over 100 virtual clients!

At that same time, I was overcoming my own body struggles. As a previous fitness competitor and a fitness model with 7 covers to my name, I’d placed so much of my self-worth on my looks and my body, to the point that I became completely obsessed with food and over-exercised.

It became clear that I needed to appreciate and love my body, respect my time and energy, and be able to practice what I was preaching.

Over the next few years, I developed my own nutrition philosophy, #Moderation365 to automate consistent and healthy eating habits. Since then JillFit has helped over 10,000 women do the same using this method (we now certify coaches in #Moderation365 (link to IG page @Moderation365) as well)!
After investing in my very first business coach in 2012, I quit all my in-person training and moved fully online. Followers and other professionals began asking me how I was doing what I was doing, and as a result, I started sharing business tips, tools and strategies. That same year I launched my first business mentorship, Best of You Business and did my first 5-figure launch.
Since then, JillFit has grossed over 6M in revenue and more importantly, we’ve helped thousands of health, fitness and nutrition professionals start and grow their online businesses so they can quit their 9-to-5s and create the time freedom, autonomy and fulfilling careers they’ve always dreamed of.

Let’s get personal

What gets you up in the morning?

The ability to create something that might change someone’s life. Write blogs, social media posts, emails, digital courses or coaching products that may help someone get better in their mindset, their body or their business. Creativity is how I derive meaning, joy and impact.

What’s something about yourself that surprises people to learn about you?

I’m a huge sucker for step aerobics! I started teaching it when I was 16 years old, and I’ll still hit up an advanced step class anywhere I can find one! That, and that I did the worm at my high school prom in my prom dress!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

My first business mentor told me, “Act like you don’t need the sale,” and to this day that’s the best business AND life advice I’ve ever received
My first business mentor told me, “Act like you don’t need the sale,” and to this day that’s the best business AND life advice I’ve ever received

What is your greatest fear?

Besides losing my parents or siblings, it’s losing my ability to think well. As a fit and healthy person, getting injured or sick would obviously be hard, but losing my mental capacity would be way worse. I’m a very cerebral, creative person and creating things is how I derive joy in my life and my work.

What’s your favorite way to unwind?

I hate cooking unless it’s with my guy. I pour a glass of wine, turn on music and we cook together with my puppy Pip running around the house. We eat together and catch up on our day and it’s perfect.
