Fat-Loss on a Budget: The Walmart Menu

Often many of our favorite fat-loss foods can only be purchased from specialty grocers like Whole Foods Market, like ground bison, almond cheese and yummy Arctic Zero ice cream.  Many think it is impossible to follow the fat-loss lifestyle on a budget, and though it can get definitely expensive buying organic this and free-range that, lots of our favorite fat loss staples can be found at Walmart, so no excuses!

Here are 16 fat-loss foods I found at Walmart and I implement them into a daily menu plan for you guys to follow (see below). Though I would suggest incorporating more fruits and veggies if possible, this is a good place to start!

Old Fashioned Oatmeal

Truvia (Stevia) Natural Sweetener

Liquid Egg Whites

Natural Whey Protein Powder

Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

Natural Almond Butter

Canned Chicken (white meat, 180mg sodium per serving)

Organic Brown Rice

Luna Protein Bars

Raw Almonds

Ground Turkey

All Natural Salsa (sodium <200mg/serving)

Low Carb Tortilla (no trans fats, 4 net carbs)

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Organic 70% Dark Chocolate Bar

Bedtime Tea

Fat-loss Walmart Menu:

Meal #1: 1/2 cup old fashioned oat meal (dry) made with water, sweeten with Truvia (stevia), 4 scrambled egg whites
Meal #2: 1 scoop whey protein powder blended with 8 oz unsweetened almond milk, 2 tbsp almond butter, ice to desired thickness
Meal #3: 1 can shredded white chicken, 1/2 cup brown rice (cooked), 1 cup broccoli
Meal #4: 1 Luna Protein bar, handful raw almonds or 1 apple
Meal #5: 1/4 lb sauteed ground turkey, mixed with peppers/onions and 1/4 cup salsa, stuff in a low carb tortilla for a healthy burrito
After dinner: 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa mixed with hot water, add Truvia to desired sweetness, 1 oz dark chocolate
Yogi Bedtime tea before bed

And of course Walmart has a full spectrum produce department so stocking up on fruits and veggies won’t be an issue!  Good luck, and let me know how it goes!! ox Jill
